With the wealth of its members’ talents, you’d expect Lomba Sihir to be an instant success, 2021 debut album Selamat Datang di Ujung Dunia was a critical darling, but becoming an in-demand live act proved to be more difficult. Eventually the Jakarta-based combo figured out how to make it work. Livewire lead singer Natasha Udu, versatile vocalist-guitarist Rayhan Noor, dynamic drummer Enrico Octaviano, mercurial keyboardist Tristan Juliano and game-changing vocalist Hindia have honed Lomba Sihir into one of Indonesia’s hottest bands - propelling Hati dan Paru-Paru, Semua Orang Pernah Sakit Hati and Ribuan Memori into multi-million streaming hits with an increasing legion of fans - Peserta Lomba Sihir - singing along to every word. If their debut album was the sound of six locked-down individuals figuring out their chemistry while looking outwards, on 2025 sophomore effort Obrolan Jam 3 Pagi you can hear a five-person unit reminiscing the days of late night chats on their now-iconic red living room sofa. Touching on subjects both deep (the melancholic Satu Jam Terpanjang) and light (Lomba Sihir!, the band’s own theme song) alike, the album streamlines Lomba Sihir’s eclectic influences into an anthemic signature sound with flourishes of pop, rock and even country on standout track Andai Saja.
