Nathan Smooth

Nathan Smooth is punching above his weight. The young MC is bursting onto the scene with a flow, look, and work ethic that he’s determined to take to the top. From a young age, Smooth has always been both a storyteller (Film) and a fighter (Boxing). At a young age, he became obsessed with both the story on screen, and the process behind it. But it was in the boxing gym (National Championship runner up) where he learned how to work hard, get back up when you’re down, and to perform in front of a crowd. On his debut project, Exceptionally Bright, Extremely Blessed, he does exactly that. Over beats produced by Lance Conrad (Humans Win) and Big Cats (Lizzo, Mac Miller, BJ the Chicago Kid), Smooth gets back to his roots and reflects on the people, places and things that made him who he is. He reps Minnesota, his home state, on “10,000 Lakes,” the lead single from EBEB, singing “When you get to where you’re going, don’t forget ‘bout where you been.” Though there’s been many artists that have made an impact on him, he shouts out artists like Jeezy and 2Pac, whose influence he wears on his sleeve. Smooth is just getting started; “Through it all, I always knew I was destined for greatness,” he says. It’s that confidence, combined with clear talent that he’s determined is going to take him to the title.
