Biography & Metadata
The Record Company is a band defined by momentum and authenticity. Their story began in 2011, but it was their 2016 debut that catapulted them into wider recognition. The band's debut album, Give It Back To You, recorded in a living room with thrifted instruments and a shoestring budget, earned a GRAMMY® nomination for Best Contemporary Blues Album at the 59th Grammy Awards, spent 42 weeks on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart, and produced AAA radio #1 success with “Off the Ground.” Its follow‑up single “Rita Mae Young” also charted strongly at AAA radio. Building on that head of steam, 2018’s All of This Life featured the AAA radio chart‑topping single “Life to Fix,” and 2021’s Play Loud, yielded AAA success with the single “How High.” By the time 2023’s The 4th Album arrived, The Record Company had further refined their craft while retaining their gritty rock foundation. The album’s singles “Talk to Me” and “Dance on Mondays” achieved top-5 status at AAA radio and continued to resonate with audiences and uphold the band’s live‑set fire. Throughout their career, TRC has mounted countless headline tours across the US and Europe, and have toured with legendary acts John Mayer, Bob Seger, My Morning Jacket, and many others. The Record Company will release the deluxe expanded edition of Give It Back To You on February 20, 2026, marking a significant milestone in a career that continues to evolve and grow.
