Taro Hakase

Taro Hakase is one of Japan’s most beloved violinists and composers. His music goes beyond the traditional image of the violin, blending pop, contemporary, and world music with his distinctive sound and passionate performances. He is the original violinist featured on Céline Dion’s worldwide hit “To Love You More” and toured with her worldwide for three years, from 1996 to 1999. In Japan, his signature compositions “Etupirka” and “Jounetsu Tairiku” are instantly recognizable and have become part of the soundtrack of Japanese life. He has composed more than 450 pieces of music, including major corporate theme songs such as ANA’s iconic “Another Sky,” which has been used as ANA’s in-flight theme for 25 years. With a career spanning more than 35 years, Taro continues to bring his unique violin sound to audiences around the world. Discover the world of Taro Hakase’s music and let his violin take you somewhere new. 1990年KRYZLER&KOMPANYとしてデビュー。セリーヌ・ディオンとの共演で世界的存在となる。1996年にソロ活動を開始。2002年、自身が音楽総監督を務めるレーベルHATSを設立。2007年秋から、原点回帰をテーマにロンドンへ拠点を移し、自身のコンサートツアーに於いてはワールドツアーや全都道府県ツアー、オーケストラコンサートツアーを行うなど、１年を通して100本近い公演を毎年行い、日本全国、そして世界に向け葉加瀬太郎の音楽を発信している。様々なジャンルのアーティストとのコラボレーションも数多く、今後も公演を中心に多方面に活動の場を広げ、唯一無二、独自の世界を作り上げていく。2022年4月1日付、東京藝術大学客員教授就任。
