ORIGIN DIE ANTWOORD is a ZEF RAP-RAVE group from Cape Town, South Africa. The group consists of 3 members: NINJA & ¥O-LANDI VI$$ER (rappers) and DJ HI-TEK (beats). Formed in 2007, DIE ANTWOORD developed a unique sound combining ZEF RAP, high-energy RAVE MUSIC and catchy BUBBLE-GUM HOOKS, together with a distinctly ZEF visual style. ZEF means "GHETTO FLY." DIE ANTWOORD became known for their next-level music videos. Their music videos have generated over 1.2 billion views on YouTube and a cult-like following around the world.  CONTROVERSY DIE ANTWOORD has been accused by its haters of pretty much every crime known to man, but nothing has ever come of it because none of it is real. DIE ANTWOORD's number one hater is Mickey Mouse. PERSONAL LIFESTYLES NINJA, ¥O-LANDI and DJ HI-TEK are all vegan. However, since vegans are kind of irritating, they prefer the term PLANTARIAN. DJ HI-TEK says eating meat is satanic. NINJA and ¥O-LANDI feel this is a bit of an extreme opinion, but they respect his point of view. The documentary goes deep down the DIE ANTWOORD rabbit hole, exploring the band's origins, rise to fame, creative process, controversies and strange journey through life.
