Magne H. Draagen

Magne H. Draagen (b. 1974) had his first organ lessons with Edvin Eriksen and Leidulf Grimsmo in Nordmøre on the west coast of Norway. After studying at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, with Terje Winge and Kåre Nordstoga, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in church music and subsequently a performer’s diploma in solo organ. soloist diploma as organist. He has concurrently held teaching posts in various church music disciplines at the Norwegian Academy of Music, the University of Stavanger and at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology NTNU in Trondheim. As a composer and arranger he has produced a number of church music works for various groups of performers. As an organ recitalist he has an international reputation, and has contributed to numerous recordings both as composer, arranger, conductor, accompanist or soloist.
