Prevail

Prevail is a 4-time JUNO Award winning platinum-selling hip hop artist hailing from Vancouver. After starting to perform as one half of Split Sphere Prev first gained widespread acclaim as part of Swollen Members, building Canadian mainstream awareness with extensive national commercial radio and broadcast music video airplay for numerous songs. He’s also released solo music, and has been a key lead in Western Canadian Music Award nominated jazz rap project XL the Band, and WCMA-nominated rap duo Alpha Omega. Cutting his teeth with rapping in Victoria in the 90s, Prevail developed his skills under the tutelage of his rap mentor Moka Only. Together, Prev and Moka performed live as Split Sphere before joining forces with Mad Child to form Swollen Members. In spite of their multi-decade history, P and Moke only started recording Split Sphere music for release in 2026. The first Split Sphere songs are in the process of being unveiled, coinciding with performances leading up to the release of their debut project as a duo - decades in the making! Prev has collaborated with internationally recognized and critically acclaimed artists like Nelly Furtado, Everlast, Ghostface Killah, Talib Kweli, and many more, and has toured the world with household names like the Black Eyed Peas, Rihanna, Nelly Furtado, and Avril Lavigne. He has also been heavily involved in charitable work, especially through his ambassadorship with the Music Heals charity.
