Tena Tenpo

Tena Tenpo is a Nigerian recording artiste and songwriter based in Lagos, Nigeria. Tena was born Tena Podeke on June 26, 1993, in Lagos State, Nigeria. He started making music in 2010 as a hobby; at the time managing recording artiste, Timix, his now business partner but soon transitioned into seriously recording music. Tena Tenpo’s music can be termed Afro-fusion, mixing afrobeat influences with rap and sometimes, R&B. In September 2014, while with the music collective, MIGMIE; he released a joint project called ‘Slave II Society’ with KD. he also released a string of experimental releases which he says were aimed at broadening his artistry. Tena Tenpo released his first solo body of work, FTLOTR(For The Ladies On The Runway ) on February 19, 2016, shortly after joining the ‘Life Is Eazi’ tour with Mr Eazi. He has also spent time writing and curating for some artistes. He’s currently working on a follow up to his debut album titled BEASTY SZN. Before then he is giving us VIBES ALIVE, a personal mantra he turned to a six tracked ep. Tena Tenpo is currently affiliated with exciting new Afro-Fusion music collective Chop Life Crew, who garnered a reputation for themselves with their hard-hitting posse cuts. When asked what genre of music he makes he says. “..music is way bigger than a genre. It’s more like sounds of different emotions and times. I just make good music.”
