I was 16 the first time I snuck into a club in Manchester. Canal Street. Terrible fake ID, absolutely terrified. Then I hit the dancefloor, and something clicked. The music. The chaos. The people who didn’t care what anyone thought. I’d found my place and never really left. Growing up working-class and queer in Lancashire wasn’t exactly smooth. Throw ADHD into the mix, and you’ve got a brain that never switches off and emotions that hit all at once. My music is for the people who feel everything a bit too much. The ones who’ve cried in the toilets at 3 am, then come back out and lose themselves on the dancefloor. The ones who’ve locked eyes with a stranger mid-song and felt understood without saying a word. The ones who realised they were never as alone as they thought. This is for us. The ones still chasing that fake ID feeling.
