Fumes the Threat

Fumes is an hip hop artist out of Denver CO. At the age of 15 he started making demos while entering local MC battles and to his surprise he was winning almost every battle he entered. During this time he started recording with other local acts most notably a feature on Black Pegasus album Fusion of Syllables which was a standout in CO. Between 2001-2003 Fumes continued to battle while also appearing on radio shows including 1190 Basementalism and a huge battle on 107.5 a top 40 station. In the 107.5 battle Fumes lost in the semi finals but was so impressive that he was invited back to freestyle live on air. In 2005 Fumes won a spot to battle in Scribble Jam by defeating the best MC’s in the region which put him in a battle with some of the best Rappers in the world. After battling for so long Fumes decided to focus more on music and started producing beats and writing unique songs. Over the years his style has evolved from improv and freestyle to well rounded music which highlights his life and times as a indie artist/person. His music covers all aspects of life and has strong lyrical content. Fumes the threat has a mix of unique sounds showcasing a range of rhyming styles with each track.
