Marzena Majcher

Marzena Majcher is a composer of film and contemporary music, having authored music for over 45 films, including features, documentaries, and animations. She graduated from the Composition Studies program at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. Marzena Majcher creates music for orchestras, string quartets, chamber ensembles, as well as electronic and ambient music. She was awarded at the International Composition Competition "Amadeus Composition Award" in Austria in 2023. Several albums of her music have been released, including "Music from the Film Amateurs" (Requiem Records, 2022), "Chemistry of Love" (Requiem Records, 2019), and "TransMitter" (Audio Art, 2020). She has performed concerts, and her compositions have been presented at various venues, including the Koszalin Philharmonic, the 9th Music Festival Ecos Urbanos in Mexico City, the 31st Audio Art Festival in Krakow, and the Contemporary Music Festival at the 36th Warsaw Music Meetings. Marzena Majcher's film music has a distinctive contemporary sound, which she achieves by combining parts for acoustic instruments with modern electronics and prepared sounds.
