Biography & Metadata

London singer-songwriter Amma (Lauren Keen) confidently steps into the spotlight with her bold debut project, “Middle Child,” out now. Though new as a solo artist, she’s already penned hits for FLO, Nao, JoJo, Sam Feldt, IVE, and Miraa May—cementing her reputation as a dynamic rising force. For Amma, becoming an artist was never the plan, at least, not at first. Growing up in a family where music was ever-present, it felt like the last thing she wanted to pursue. But sometimes, the thing we resist the most is what calls us home. It wasn’t until a quiet moment alone, writing a song just for herself, that something shifted. That track ended up being played throughout the industry and before she knew it, Amma was in label meetings, being offered a chance to share her gift with the world. Amma’s artistry is rooted in emotion more than influence, and she draws inspiration from artists who truly embrace their vulnerability. Her songwriting continues to evolve through intentional sessions, late nights in her bedroom, and years of harmonizing with her sisters, RAYE and Absolutely. Singing has always been second nature, but finding her voice as an artist has taken courage. Debuting live at All Points East, Amma’s candid about the fear and uncertainty that comes with stepping into the spotlight. Her music tells a story from her life, not to center herself, but to connect. Whether it’s love, confusion, pride, fear, or hope, her goal is to create space for others to feel seen.
