Biography & Metadata

Kyle McEvoy is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer based in upstate New York. Having immersed himself in the music industry from a young age, McEvoy began his journey playing in bands and touring with notable artists such as Mac DeMarco, Bear Hands, and Cage The Elephant starting at the age of 15. His passion for music led him to tour as the lead guitarist for the influential outsider folk artist Kath Bloom. Additionally, he has lent his songwriting and production skills to various artists, including The Shivers, L. Martin of The Walters, Peter CottonTale, and more. Beyond his work with other artists, McEvoy boasts an extensive catalog under his own music project, characterized by an ambient and nostalgic style intertwined with melodic fingerpicking and slide guitar, often enhanced by vintage tape delays. Through his personal project, he has collaborated with legendary artists spanning multiple genres, including Mick Jenkins, SYML, Blockhead, Penguin Prison, Ant Clemons, RJD2, Antwaun Stanley (of Vulfpeck), Wilderado, and dozens of others. In 2023, McEvoy released his ninth studio album, "Lone Oak," paying homage to his childhood home & family roots in Waterbury, CT. Currently, he is crafting new material for 2024 and working on collaborations with a diverse array of emerging artists.
