Future sounds through the lens of yesteryear. Inspired by his infatuation with retro vibes of the late 20th century, Skylane Drive worked his way into crafting Synthwave & Dark Electro style music in early 2022. Originally, a guitarist & bassist rooted in the punk and metal scenes, Skylane Drive began experimenting with combining the lush, warm, and Lo-fi analog sounds of the past with modern production styles & techniques of today. Deeply driven by a love for all things retro, Skylane Drive aims to create music that feels like a surreal journey across time. Whether it’s evoking the thrill of high-speed chase scenes, sparking moments of deep introspection, or simply hitting the dance-floor, his songs strive to transport his listeners somewhere beyond. Through each track, he invites listeners to lose themselves in the timeless allure of pure retrograde nostalgia. Skylane Drive attributes his sound to ground-breaking artists such as: Miami Nights 1984, Kiile, Timecop1983, Com Truise, Neon Nox, Android Automatic, deadmau5, Daft Punk, Wang Chung, David Lynch, Vangelis, Nine Inch Nails, Gesaffelstein, & Fred Ventura. 100% human-made music, now and forever.
