Monk Party

Monk Party is a father-son duo from Christchurch, New Zealand, dedicated to creating a soulful, transformative musical experience. Their music seeks to uplift and inspire listeners with rich mantras and devotional melodies composed by their Guru, Sri Chinmoy. The duo’s sound weaves together influences from ancient Indian mantras, haunting Middle Eastern melodies, and a wide range of world and spiritual music traditions. Rooted in the belief that music can transcend boundaries, Monk Party embodies the words of Sri Chinmoy, who said, “Music will play a most important role in bringing about world oneness, for music embodies the Universal Heart, the Oneness-Heart.” For Monk Party, music is a unifying force that connects all people, transcending nationalities and religions to foster harmony and peace. When they perform, Monk Party strives to offer their hearts in love and oneness, using music as a pathway to share their deep love for humanity and to create a sense of collective unity.
