Avant pop and avant it now! Gurry Wurry is your friendly neighbourhood oddball, making wonky off-kilter pop music for people within touching distance of their feelings. The Skinny called him “the good kind of weird”, and Vic Galloway described him as "Gorky's Zygotic Mynci meets Randy Newman", which is about as close as anyone’s come to hitting this eclectic little nail on the head. Gurry Wurry has recorded with Rod Jones (Idlewild, Hamish Hawk) and Andy Monaghan (Frightened Rabbit), opened for Dent May, The High Llamas, and Florry, and picked up support from many radio stations with good taste – including BBC 6Music, BBC Introducing, 3RRR, Byte FM and Slack City. 2026 sees the release of his difficult third album “Glue” – a record about breaking things and trying to fix them – alongside appearances at Kelburn Garden Party and Belladrum. For Fans Of: Super Furry Animals / The Flaming Lips / This Is Lorelei ***** “Gorgeous, gorgeous… love that” – Deb Grant, BBC 6 Music “Super weird… in the best way!” – Clunk Magazine ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – The Skinny ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – The Daily Express
