The Tribe Of Good

The Tribe Of Good is the soul and disco side project of The Young Punx, led by Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Hal Ritson. What began as material for a Young Punx album developed a character of its own: warmer, more focused and more grown-up, rooted in live musicianship, classic soul, disco and funk, vintage recording techniques and uplifting songwriting. At the heart of the project is a production team built around Ritson, Richard “Fiasco” Adlam and Michele “Phonat” Balduzzi, working with a loose collective of world-class singers and musicians. Across their wider work, the team’s credits connect with artists including Kanye West, The Chemical Brothers, Duke Dumont, Nas, Taylor Swift, Jamiroquai, Basement Jaxx, Elbow and Quincy Jones, while Ritson’s own credits span more than 35 billion Spotify streams. The self-titled debut album arrived through Ultra Records in 2020, with the wider catalogue also including remixes and collaborations from Cassius, Friend Within, Weiss and others. Today The Tribe Of Good remains a distinct part of the wider Young Punx world: sharing musicians, studio culture and DNA, but providing a more concentrated home for soulful disco, funk, live performance and songs with something positive to say.
