The Anix

The Anix is the multidisciplinary project of artist, producer and designer Brandon Smith, merging the raw emotional weight of ’90s alternative music with a distinctly modern, future-facing aesthetic. Guitars, electronics and atmospheric production collide in a world that feels simultaneously nostalgic and several steps ahead. That world extends beyond music through Smith’s design label Distortion Dynamics, where fashion, automotive culture, industrial design and technology converge. His collaboration with San Francisco design brand DSPTCH re-engineered the traditional guitar strap using modular construction, magnetic hardware and hi-tech materials, earning features from Hypebeast, Uncrate and Guitar World. With more than 30 million Spotify streams alone and a global audience spanning Apple Music, YouTube, Yandex and other platforms, The Anix has built an independent catalog with multiple seven-figure records. including “Renegade” (4M+ Spotify streams), “This Machine” (2.6M+), “My Eyes” (2.2M+) and “Die With You” (1.5M+). Rather than separating sound, product and image, The Anix treats them as one evolving universe, ’90s alternative culture reconstructed for the future.
