Not Waving

Not Waving is the ambitious solo alias of London-via-Italy musician and NTS Radio resident Alessio Natalizia. Since 2013, Natalizia has released the murky atmospherics of Remote Viewing inspired debut ‘Umwelt’, followed by the sublime ‘Redacted’, the hazy, stargazing experiments of ‘Human Capabilities’ (2014) album and ‘Voices’ (2015), the double album inspired by neurologist Oliver Sacks, social philosopher B.F. Skinner and Russian physiologist Ivan Pavlov. His highly acclaimed albums 'Animals' (2016) and 'Good Luck' (2017) were released by Diagonal Records. He runs the London label Ecstatic Recordings on which he released ‘Futuro’ (2019), the sublime synth/environmental soundtrack to The Waldorf Project, one of the world’s most intense art/theatre experiences performed in London, Stockholm and Bangkok. He was the curator of 'Mutazione - Italian Electronic & New Wave Underground 1980-1988' (Strut Records, 2013). He collaborated among others with Jim O’Rourke, Mark Lanegan, Marie Davidson, and Nurse With Wound’s Colin Potter.
