Trey Bruce

Trey Bruce has spent over three decades writing songs and making records in Nashville — an Emmy winner and 15-time ASCAP Award recipient with 10 #1 singles to his name. But before any of that, he was a five-year-old in Memphis whose aunt handed him a copy of Meet the Beatles and changed everything. He grew up chasing what Bowie, Elton John, Black Sabbath, and Kris Kristofferson were doing — the strange, the tender, the theatrical, all at once. He started writing songs in the 7th grade and never really stopped. Springsteen's Tunnel of Love convinced him Memphis wasn't far enough. The album became his 2,000-mile bridge to Nashville, and he made the drive with no backup plan. The songs he makes now still carry that same instinct: the one that shows up early and doesn't leave. For years, those songs went to other voices first. Now, some of them are his to sing.
