Biography & Metadata

Danjel Esperanza is a music producer from the Frankfurt area who began his journey as a musician in 2005. His early releases appeared on labels such as Bush, Brouqade and Mainakustik, with support from international DJs including Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Stephan Bodzin and Paco Osuna. In 2008, he founded Meleon Music, which quickly grew from a digital imprint into a respected platform for numerous artists, including several already well-known names from the electronic music scene. The label also released numerous vinyl records. A year later, Danjel created Backdoor Beauty, a deeply personal and experimental vinyl project through which he released exclusively. It became a musical diary of its time, eventually resulting in a double-vinyl album. Then, everything stopped. Severe tinnitus and hearing loss brought his career as a musician to an abrupt end. For almost a decade, the silence remained. But some things don't disappear. They simply change course. After around ten years away from music, Danjel found his way back. Today, his sound moves between deep grooves, warm textures, evolving melodies and cinematic atmospheres — constantly shifting, yet always carrying a sense of direction. Like a river, his music has no fixed shape. It bends, deepens, disappears and returns. Grooves become currents, melodies become reflections, and textures slowly transform with time. His music doesn't stand still. It flows.
