Biography & Metadata

Hi there — I'm Ben, a Chilean producer based in the UK and the person behind Soul of Waves. It's my independent electronic music project, and I don't keep it inside one genre: depending on the track, you might hear Progressive House, Hardstyle, Psytrance, Techno, House or something in between. I mostly make the kind of tracks I enjoy listening to myself, and Soul of Waves is my way of putting those ideas out into the world and sharing them with anyone who connects with them. My story with music started at 13, behind a drum kit, playing in rock and metal bands. I came to electronic music later. Martin Garrix's "Animals" was the track that first made me pay attention to EDM, and from there I kept exploring the genre until Soul of Waves eventually took shape in 2021. I had spent years listening to and playing heavier music, so that background naturally came with me. I've basically handled every part of Soul of Waves myself. I write and produce the music, and over the years I've also taken care of mixing, mastering, artwork, releases and marketing. Most of what I know has come from teaching myself, trying things, getting things wrong and gradually becoming better at them. Being an independent producer gives me the freedom to make the electronic music I want to hear without having to force every idea into the same box. The next track doesn't need to sound like the previous one to come from the same place. Thanks for listening 🌊 Ben | Soul of Waves
