Ozi

Ozi is a Los Angeles-based artist blending introspective storytelling with sharp lyricism and a cinematic, grounded sound. Born in Ikeja, Nigeria and raised between Inglewood and San Pedro, his perspective is shaped by both heritage and environment—bridging culture, struggle, and self-reflection. Drawing inspiration from Kendrick Lamar’s storytelling, Tyler, The Creator’s creativity, and the revolutionary spirit of Fela Kuti, Ozi creates music rooted in authenticity, emotion, and intention. His sound carries the soul of classic hip-hop while pushing into more personal, modern territory. Working closely with producer Cat's Eye, Ozi is developing a cohesive sonic world—built on raw, sample-driven production and honest lyricism that cuts through. Together, the two are crafting a sound that feels both timeless and deeply personal. Known for translating real-life experiences into compelling records, Ozi’s catalog reflects growth, resilience, and identity. Following releases like Just Watch and My Story, he continues to build momentum with each drop. His latest single, “Work It Out,” sets the tone for his upcoming collaborative project with Cat's Eye, Famous Last Words—a focused body of work rooted in reflection, evolution, and truth.
