Rubby Valentin is a singer, songwriter, and filmmaker born in the Dominican Republic and raised in Washington Heights, NYC. His music is a boundary-breaking fusion of Dembow, left-field electronic, alt-pop, and techno. This a direct reflection of his multicultural roots and deep ties to New York’s underground queer club scene. With seductive vocals and evocative storytelling, Rubby explores the visceral, uncurated realities of the queer experience, moving seamlessly from raw intimacy to bold self-invention. He first caught the industry's attention with "Confiesa," a sultry anthem that showcased his fearless approach to sound and identity, and later won critical acclaim for his 2024 visual project Senseless Sexy Rage. Now, fresh off having his music spun on Honey Dijon’s radio show, Rubby is rolling out his highly anticipated debut studio album, EXHIBIT A. Executive produced alongside Sam Pottash, the project features heavy club production from BAPARI, Diego Raposo, Sevyn 0000, and Zorenlo. Led by the haunting, club-centric single "SILO", Rubby balances underground club grit with international, high-art elegance, cementing his position as one of alternative pop's most provocative new voices.
