Afro 23

Yulier Ernesto Bonet Perez is a Cuban singer, pianist and producer, better known by his stage name AFRO 23. AFRO 23 was born in Las Tunas, Cuba, from a very young age he chose the path of the arts. His passion for music led him to study percussion since the age of 10. His studies also included the piano, the instrument that until today has been his inseparable love. Upon graduating he was part of the “Caisimu Orchestra” as a timbalero, then he was musical director of the “Salsa Candela Orchestra”. At an early age he was the main pianist of the “Sonido Caliente Orchestra”, where he was able to share the stage and collaborate with “Elio Reve y su Charangon”, Dan Den, “Manolito Simonet y su Trabuco”, among other great Cuban orchestras. In 2014 he released his debut singles “Feeling and Ritmo Bonet” with his band at the time called "Bonet Band". In 2016 his passion for music led him to undertake a trip around the world, discovering other rhythms, sounds, ways of seeing life and all this contributed to what AFRO 23 is today. In 2020 he decides to settle in the city of Miami where he has achieved popularity for his versatility and energy on stage. Collaborating on the piano with numerous artists such as Lenier, Jacob Forever, El Micha, El Chacal, Los Van Van, El Niño y La Verdad among others. In 2022 he got his first recording contract with Top Stop Music, the label under which he released his current single "Soy Afro 23".
