Funda Arar

Funda Arar is one of Türkiye's most respected and enduring female vocalists, renowned for her powerful voice, remarkable vocal range, and distinctive interpretation. A graduate of the Turkish Music State Conservatory at Istanbul Technical University, she launched her recording career in 2000 with her debut album Sevgilerde. She first gained nationwide recognition with Kaldırımlar, a musical adaptation of a poem by celebrated Turkish poet Necip Fazıl Kısakürek, and went on to establish herself as one of the defining voices of Turkish pop through acclaimed albums including Son Dans, Zamanın Eli, and Aşkın Masum Çocukları. In addition to her success as a vocalist, Arar is also an accomplished songwriter and composer, earning numerous prestigious music awards throughout her career. Continually evolving her sound while staying true to her artistic identity, she has connected with audiences across generations, most recently through collaborations with a new wave of Turkish artists. In 2026, she released her twelfth studio album, Tüm Şehir Duydu (The Whole City Heard).
