Statik Link

Statik Link is the electronic music project of composer, producer, and sound designer Josh Andres. Blending analog synthesizers, cinematic storytelling, and atmospheric sound design, STATIK LINK exists somewhere between a forgotten science-fiction soundtrack, a late-night radio transmission, and an ominous warning from the edge of the unknown. Drawing inspiration from John Carpenter, Vangelis, and S U R V I V E, the project explores themes of isolation, mystery, technology, and the vast spaces beyond human understanding. Its sound combines pulsing analog sequences, haunting textures, vintage drum machines, and immersive sonic landscapes, creating music equally at home in film, television, and video games. Vintage and modern synthesizers from Moog, Oberheim, Sequential, Roland, and ARP-inspired designs play a central role in shaping the project's identity. The result is music that feels alive, unpredictable, and deeply human despite its technological foundations. At its core, STATIK LINK is an exploration of the unknown—the sound of distant signals, abandoned research stations, unexplained phenomena, and the uneasy feeling that something exists just beyond the edge of perception.
