Michael McGlynn

Michael McGlynn is a composer and Artistic Director of the vocal ensemble Anúna, which he founded in 1987, M'ANAM and Systir. His music has been recorded and performed by groups from around the world including New York Polyphony, Rajaton, Phoenix Chorale, Kansas City Chorale Apollo5, Cantus and Chanticleer. He composed for The Ulster Orchestra on the creation of the beautiful album Behind the Closed Eye and has written music for violinist Linda Lampenius, saxophonists Gerard McChrystal and Kenneth Edge on "Visions" and composed, sang on and arranged the album Silver River with Matthew Manning. Michael has created texts for Hitomi Kurokawa on Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon Original Soundtrack (2024) and Yasunori Mitsuda on Chrono Cross Radical Dreamers Edition (2022). He has composed two musical scores for Noh Theatre collaborations, Takahime (2017) and Yuki-Onna (2024). He has co-written tracks with The Wiggles and "I'm Tied to Ya", co-written by Rodney Crowell, was sung by Crowell and Sheryl Crow on his album "Close Ties".
