David Franklin

I believe music is one of humanity’s most powerful tools for healing. Over the past 40 years, I’ve composed hundreds of songs, performed as a drummer & keyboardist in NYC, toured & recorded with my guitar as a singer-songwriter, produced and created instrumental and avant-garde albums - and walked across the country with my guitar to raise awareness about environmental issues. My instrumental albums Playing with Shadows (2015), and Passings (2022), won awards and featured bassist, Michael Manring. One Day in Spring (2024), is an album of solo piano and Music for Ketamine (2025) is my 12th album, a multilayered, full sonic soundscape created for ketamine assisted psychotherapy sessions. Recently, I’ve been working with Suzanne Sterling, releasing various singles in 2026: a full album is in the works for later this year. I recently completed the Psychedelic Facilitation Certificate Program, at UC Berkeley and when not performing at group ceremonies, I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in northern California; originally from New Jersey, I live in California.
