Since first emerging as a songwriter in the early 2000s, Esin İris has developed a body of work shaped by versatility, narrative depth, and a fluid relationship with genre. Rooted in Istanbul and now based in Berlin, she is a singer, songwriter, and creative, with credits spanning lyrics, compositions, vocals, and duets across more than ten albums, alongside her own artist releases. Her 2014 debut LP Yine Mavi topped Turkish charts for weeks. Alongside her own albums, EPs, and singles, her songwriting for a wide range of artists spans multiple hits and alternative gems across the Turkish music landscape, including Gökçe, Ayhan Sicimoğlu, Atiye, Ayben, Bengü , TNK, and Koray Candemir. Since 2008, she has created and performed music for commercials, television series, and film, while her work has reached European platforms such as Deutsche Welle TV and Swiss TV and expanded globally through television series. Esin İris defines her own sound as Indie Pop, not as a fixed genre but as an open space in which different musical cultures, forms, and emotional registers can coexist. This approach allows her to move freely between pop sensibility, alternative structures, electronic textures, and acoustic intimacy, while maintaining a distinct and personal voice. Across artist releases and commissioned works alike, her music is driven by a commitment to storytelling, emotional clarity, and creative independence, qualities that continue to shape her evolving body of work.
