Biography & Metadata

Brooklyn, New York-based rapper Casanova started his career relatively late in life after spending time incarcerated for various crimes. Following a brief spell as a laborer on release from prison, he realized that music was the true path he wanted to pursue. Putting his criminal past behind him -- but using it as inspiration -- Casanova recorded his first single, "Don't Run." Released in June 2016, it quickly became a hit online, and Casanova inked a deal with Memphis Bleek's Warehouse Music. In 2017 he entered the studio to record new material, while a new remixed version of "Don't Run" appeared, featuring guest spots from Jadakiss, Busta Rhymes, and Fabolous, to name but a few. After releasing his debut mixtape, Be Safe Tho, Casanova joined the Party Tour alongside Chris Brown, 50 Cent, French Montana, and several others. His debut full-length, Commissary, appeared in the summer of 2018, and included the single "Down Bitch" featuring A Boogie wit Da Hoodie. Free at Last, a collaborative EP with 30 Roc, was released in 2019, as was the solo single, "Forged in Steel" and "So Brooklyn," which featured Fabolous. ~ Rich Wilson, Rovi
