Iyanah

Iyanah is a Diani raised, Nairobi based singer-songwriter, producer, recording and performing artist. She describes her style of writing as being as honest as her own journal entries and her sound as not being confined to any specific genre; but being heavily influenced by what she grew up listening to, or is currently inspired by. Music has been a core element in her life and she has actively been writing songs since a young age, before purposefully deciding to record and release her debut single 4U in April of 2021. She then began her journey into live performance by doing acoustic renditions of her music at various shows such as the second 'TANGAZA and Friends' showcase while progressing into live background vocal work for talent such as Xenia Manasseh, Vallerie Muthoni, Xtatic, June Gachui; opening for Anthony Hamilton at the Stanbic Yetu Festival with the latter. From 2022 she has released a string of successful singles and features such as Diani with friend and long time collaborator Andyah. With the release of her infectious bop mr. sneaky link, and equally addictive single truth, as well as her project coin: the demos, she has steadily grown a local fanbase all while recording and gearing up for the release of her first EP. If new collaborative singles My Boo with 4Mr Frank White, and Finally Done With School with Kobe Banks and Hip Dozer are anything to go by, she is undeniably a rising act to watch in the bubbling Kenyan music scene.
