Year of the Lion

Introducing 'Year of the Lion', a duo made up of the musical talents of multi-instrumentalist/vocalist/producers Stewart Brock and Nick Tsang. Their band name holds strong meaning for both members, representing a fusion of Nick's Chinese heritage in the Shengxiao (Year of the Tiger) and Stewart's Zodiac (Leo). With Stewart's soaring vocals taking centre stage, 'Year of the Lion' weave together the timeless sounds of '80s legends 'Tears for Fears', 'Talk Talk', and 'Genesis' with a contemporary twist inspired by 'MUNA' and 'Bleachers'.    With their rich background as songwriters, producers, session musicians, and artists, Stewart and Nick bring a wealth of expertise to their collaborative endeavour. Nick's career working with acclaimed artists such as The Ting Tings and Ed Sheeran showcase his musical versatility, while Stewart's dynamic vocals have supported the likes of The 1975 and Blink 182. Now what happens if you mash all that together? The answer, put simply, is anthemic, stadium sized hooks.
