Biography & Metadata

Flavia Beswick was born in Kingston, Jamaica where she spent most of her years. She was selected as one of the Jamaica Gospel Song Competition finalists with her entry song entitled 'Center of My Life' which was given the award for Best Arrangement in 2017. Flavia completed Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts with a bachelors degree in music education in 2018 and is now a music educator. She has always been a big thinker and so, in 2014, at the age of seventeen she held her first concert at the V.H. Percy Centre which was entitled 'Full Blown Praise', then later hosted a thematic reggae show at Redbones Blues café on December 2, 2017 called ‘The Mirror Effect’. In the latter part of 2018 she moved to Montego Bay and later released her debut single on January 1, 2019 titled ‘God Will’, produced by Theo Tomlinson. In February, the song ‘Something Good’, a collaboration between Johnmark Wiggan and herself, was released and has been making waves internationally. During her spare time, she listens to and writes music as well as sews. You may sometimes find her somewhere quiet, lost in deep thought. She wishes to reconstruct and rebuild lives worldwide through her music ministry. Flavia believes music is a hotline to God, it is an advocate for the silenced minorities and it is an antidote for the weary soul. She believes that music is for everyone and is rooted within everyone, one just has to take the time to listen.
