Simon James and Adam Helal, the dynamic duo behind the electronic group Rolasoul, have each carved out illustrious careers in the music industry, blending their talents to create a unique sound that resonates with audiences worldwide. Simon’s rise to fame was propelled by his victory in Mix-Mag’s elite DJ Competition, earning him the coveted title of 'Mix-Mag DJ of the Year.' This accolade set the stage for his electrifying performances, including a mind-blowing set at Hard Times that left a lasting impression on the event's founder, Stephen Raine, who remarked, "I knew in five minutes, you could tell." Simon's musical journey has seen him play at legendary venues such as the Hacienda, Cream, Ministry of Sound and Renaissance, alongside renowned DJs like John Digweed and Pete Tong. His versatility in music spans deep, tribal house to progressive and melodic techno, with Ben Turner from Muzik stating, "his sets would rock any club, anywhere in the world." Over the years, Simon has toured internationally, captivating audiences in Ibiza, New York, and Australia, further establishing himself as a global DJ powerhouse. On the other hand, Adam has a rich musical background. Notably, Adam was also the bassist for the iconic post-punk band The Fall, contributing to albums like The Marshall Suite and The Unutterable.
