Ignasi Terraza

Ignasi Terraza is one of Spain’s most acclaimed jazz pianists and a leading figure on the European jazz scene. With a distinctive style that combines swing, lyricism and spontaneity, he has developed a musical voice deeply rooted in the jazz tradition while remaining unmistakably personal. His playing has often been associated with the elegance of Oscar Peterson, the sensitivity of Bill Evans and the spirit of Tete Montoliu. As a leader and sideman, Terraza has appeared on more than 60 recordings and has built an international career performing at major festivals, concert halls and jazz clubs across Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. His trio has toured extensively throughout China, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand and the Philippines, establishing a strong international presence over the last two decades. Throughout his career, he has shared the stage with renowned artists including Lou Donaldson, Frank Wess, Benny Golson, Jesse Davis and Jon Faddis, while collaborating with distinguished musicians such as Jeff Hamilton, Gregory Hutchinson, Bobby Durham and Pierre Boussaguet.
