Based in London, UK, the producer also known as Alexey Fuifanov, has found himself on some of the scene’s most important labels; from Integral, Grid, Good Looking and Hospital – all the way to the mighty V Recordings where he is now signed exclusively. And the reason? Simply put, Command Strange is one of the most versatile producers we have today. Whatever the label, Command Strange seems to produce banger after banger, fusing his classic jungle, jump-up and soul inspirations into a musical and original whole. Now 10 years deep into his craft, the Command Strange name has become a byword for guaranteed vibes and musicality. So where did it begin? After trying his hand at jungle from the age of 7, it wasn’t long before a 16 year old Alexey had attracted the attention of the scene’s most influential tastemakers, with everyone from LTJ Bukem and DJ Marky to Friction, Fabio & Grooverider, Bryan Gee and JJ Frost giving the young producer the thumbs up.
