Distant Pham

Distant Pham is a hip-hop duo rooted in boom bap and the essence of true lyricism. The group consists of rapper/producer Master Wiz and emcee Realz Reality, lifelong friends who have been creating music together since 1996. Known for their sharp wordplay, soulful beats, and classic sound, they represent a generation raised on the golden era of hip-hop while pushing the craft forward with maturity and purpose. Master Wiz released The Lost Art of the Fallen (2011), followed by a run of acclaimed albums including World Away (2024), Just Us (2025), and The Hate Storm (2025). His work blends introspective storytelling with gritty production rooted in boom bap tradition. Realz Reality made his solo debut with Renaissance of the Risen (2023), showcasing sharp lyricism and thought-provoking narratives that reflect both his faith and his lived experience. Now, after nearly two decades, the duo reunites for The Disdain (dropping November 7, 2025), a full-length project entirely produced by Brutal Caesar. The album bridges the past and present—raw, soulful, and unapologetically authentic. It’s a statement of endurance and artistry from two emcees who’ve never stopped believing in the culture. Collectively, Distant Pham has collaborated with artists such as TEK (Smif-N-Wessun), Skyzoo, Jon Connor, and Maintain (Prophet and Slay 1). Their sound celebrates the fundamentals of hip-hop—honest lyricism, soulful samples, and unfiltered emotion.
