Biography & Metadata

RODERIK takes its name from Edgar Allan Poe’s The Fall of the House of Usher, a fitting tribute to the band’s introspective and emotional depth. Founded by Jake Anthony Salazar and David P.K. on Long Island, NY, RODERIK found new momentum in late 2023 with the addition of Steve Ambro solidifying their lineup in New Jersey. Blending post-hardcore intensity with genre-bending influences from pop, hip-hop, emo, and R&B, RODERIK pulls back the curtain to their personal experiences with mental health and anxiety to connect with fans through their raw honesty. In June 2024, they released their first EP Intrusive Thoughts, featuring the breakout single “Where'd You Go” with @Joshua Roberts of Magnolia Park. In 2025, RODERIK continued their journey to expand their dynamic and emotionally charged sound with “Let Go” featuring @Telltale. In November 2025, RODERIK also released their number one track to date, “Everything.” The group continues to push forward on their pursuit to write music that makes the misunderstood feel heard. As of Summer 2026, RODERIK has released their newest singles “Current” and “SO/LO.” With an unwavering passion for pushing musical boundaries, RODERIK continues to carve out their space in the modern alternative scene.
