Cara Luft

Cara Luft, one of Canada’s most beloved singer-songwriters, is making a long-anticipated return with a joyful solo album — her first in over 13 years. A founding member of two Canadian folk super-groups (The Wailin' Jennys and The Small Glories), Cara is known for her warmth, authenticity and exceptional musicianship. She has won multiple awards and amassed legions of fans captivated by her talent for pairing heart-on-your-sleeve lyricism with indelible ear catching melodies. Cara’s new album — “My Heart Will Always Be” — captures an artist who radiates with newfound clarity, freedom and hard-won self-trust, reaffirming her legacy as an essential voice in folk music. A veteran of decades navigating the ever-shifting music industry landscape and battling the constant tug-&-pull between heart and business, Cara’s new album was born out of a desire to celebrate music’s enduring power to heal, connect and bring joy. It was written, recorded & produced by a trusted creative collective, and funded exclusively by her loyal fanbase. In the spirit of choosing people before platforms, Cara & her team deliberately decided to release “My Heart Will Always Be” first in physical format at live events, to honour in-person music sharing & listening. Cara invites you to join her in this celebration of music, community and connection, and hopes you love the songs from "My Heart Will Always Be."
