Detroit emcee Valid, mentored by Grammy Award-winning DJ Head, has built a reputation as one of the city’s most authentic voices. His debut album Mihajlo and follow-up The Plum Brandy EP drew global attention—especially in Eastern and Southern Europe—and earned spins on SiriusXM from DJ Premier, Statik Selektah, and Tony Touch. In 2023, Valid teamed up with Detroit legend Stretch Money to form Bill & Isiah, earning national college radio chart success and a standout Shade45 freestyle session. The duo performed alongside Xzibit, Tha Dogg Pound, and 8Ball & MJG, further raising Valid’s profile. 2024 became a breakout year. Valid appeared with Eminem, Gmac Cash, Stretch Money, and PL in the Detroit Tigers City Connect campaign, released his full-length Peach Brandy, and hosted a block party sponsored by Hennessy, Modelo, Bacardi, Red Bull, and Twisted Tea. He also made his international debut co-headlining the Preach The Rič festival with Arrested Development before returning overseas for his own Eastern European tour. That same year, he collaborated with WWE star Ethan Page on “Child's Play,” which became part of an on-screen storyline. In 2025, Valid’s career reached new heights yet again when his single “Joy Ride” was prominently featured in the star-studded hit film Code 3, marking his big-screen breakthrough and expanding his audience worldwide.
