Biography & Metadata

Abbie Callahan's kaleidoscope country is a dialogue with the mystical — life, death, magic, and everything just beyond the edge of normal. On her new EP And For My Next Trick…, she trades the polite introductions of her debut for heavier, post-joint, late-night conversation. When "Simon Says" caught fire on TikTok in the fall of 2025, Abbie seized the moment to produce a photo shoot for a planned EP… that she hadn't yet written. And For My Next Trick… was reverse-engineered as a response to its own imagery. Across the EP, from "Circus" to the disco-ball mayhem of "Half Woman, Half Cosmic Horror," Abbie leans all the way into her muse. Raised Catholic in Iowa City, Abbie’s lifelong curiosity for the unseen now drives her playful songwriting, leading her to country music almost by accident as she filled cover sets at Nashville honkytonks. That resulting sound blends Americana, folk, and bluegrass with a pop sheen, from Patsy Cline to Sierra Ferrell to Kacey Musgraves and Sabrina Carpenter. Her superpower is vulnerable whimsy: sharp, self-deprecating, drawn to change, and unapologetically herself 24/7. "Simon Says", "OptiMYSTIC" and "Drag, Queen" have cemented her as Nashville’s patron saint of hopecore. Along the way: 10M+ total streams, festival debuts at CMA Fest, Bonnaroo, and AMERICANAFEST, Artist to Watch nods from PEOPLE, Holler, and Nashville Briefing, tour runs with Carter Faith, Willow Avalon, Orville Peck, and her own headlining OptiMYSTIC Tour.
