Biography & Metadata
Charlotte Le Lievre writes songs that cut deep: honest, raw & grounded in real life. Drawing on the traditions of early country & folk, her music carries the warmth of an old record, with songs that move between heartfelt ballads, dusty road stories & hard-driving country. Her voice is equal parts vulnerable & commanding, finding beauty alongside the grief, joy, resistance & stories we carry. Charlotte's debut album, Songs from the Barrier Line, was featured on Bandcamp’s Best Country Music list for March 2023 & earned nominations for Contemporary Folk Album of the Year at the Australian Folk Music Awards & Best Country Work at the Music Victoria Awards. Renowned for her captivating live performances, Charlotte has shared stages with Jimbo Mathus (USA), The Burning Hell (CAN) & C.W. Stoneking, & has played acclaimed festivals across the country incl. Out on the Weekend, Woodford Folk Festival, Nannup Music Festival, The Town Folk Festival & Nundle Rocks. Charlotte's new album, Grief Knows No Borders, is set for release in Feb 2027 via Cheatin' Hearts Records. The singles, Tamworth Lights & I Yearn To Love Someone both received high rotation on ABC Country, alongside widespread radio support. With the album on the horizon, 2027 will see Charlotte continue to build momentum with support slots for Mick Thomas (Weddings Parties Anything) & The Burning Hell (CAN), as well as a performance on the Toyota Park Stage at Americana in The Park at Tamworth Country Music Festival.
