CRY WOLF

Coming out swinging in 2025, CRY WOLF have wasted no time making their mark in the New Zealand Hard Rock/Alternative Metal scene. With members from Fire At Will, Swerve City, Coridian & The Sun Gods, the band came together with a shared vision: to create something bold, fresh, and emotionally resonant. Featuring Kevin Ashby (vocals, guitar), Josh Dillner (lead guitar, backing vocals), Nick Raven (bass), and James Porteous (drums), CRY WOLF have quickly built momentum through a series of singles that showcase the breadth of their sound. From the atmospheric intensity of Rainfall to the heavier energy of Burn, the crushing intensity & quiet melodies of Player One, and the emotional depth of Oceans, each release has added another dimension to the band's identity. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Breaking Benjamin, Linkin Park, Motionless In White, and modern alt metal contemporaries, CRY WOLF blend polished production, memorable hooks, and dynamic songwriting into a sound that feels both familiar and distinctly their own. The band have released their debut EP, ALPHA. More than just a collection of songs, ALPHA represents the first chapter of CRY WOLF's journey - a statement of intent from a band driven by emotion, ambition, and a relentless creative vision. In a scene split between mainstream rock and extreme metal, CRY WOLF stands apart - cool, calculated, melodic, and unapologetically heavy.
