Biography & Metadata

Aida the Myth makes music about the things nobody wants to admit out loud — starting with this: propaganda and toxic love work exactly the same way. Both start with a promise. Both make you feel chosen, special, seen. Both slowly replace your own voice with someone else's until you can no longer tell the difference between what you believe and what you were made to believe. Her debut album PICK ME was built around that parallel. Drawing on real experience, she maps the full manipulation playbook onto intimate love — the love bombing, the gaslighting, the manufactured dependency, and finally, the moment the spell breaks and you have to find your way back to yourself. Sonically she moves between the industrial tension of dark pop and the cinematic sweep of synthwave — think Trent Reznor meets Kavinsky, with the emotional scale of Lady Gaga at her most raw. The sound of a mind under siege, and then the sound of it breaking free. PICK ME is not just a breakup album. It is a case study in how control works — and how you survive it.
