DETREYO has always been about the journey. Born in México and shaped by a life of movement, places, people and constant change, his music became another way of telling stories. Afro-Latin rhythms and organic percussion may lead into hypnotic synthesizers, emotional melodies, powerful kicks and deep basslines. Sounds appear, disappear and transform, creating a universe that slowly pulls the listener inside. For DETREYO, music was never about fitting into a single genre. Afro House, Melodic House & Techno and other sides of electronic music are not boundaries, but different languages available to tell a story. His sound began to take shape when he stopped chasing definitions and started trusting instinct — allowing each production to become what it needed to become. Every track is another chapter of a much larger story, influenced by the places he has seen, the people he has met, the things he has lost, the things he has found and every version of himself he has encountered along the way. There is no map for where the music goes next. And maybe that is the whole point. No genre. No final destination. Just what it is.
