Christian Lamøy Stahr

Christian Lamøy Stahr is a Norwegian composer and pianist whose music explores stillness, light, and emotional clarity. Blending Nordic restraint with intimate felt-piano textures, his work creates space for reflection in a restless world. His upcoming album "When Light Returns" grew out of years of early morning commutes between Brooklyn and Manhattan - music written to find calm within the stress of early morning NYC subway rides. The result is a collection of quiet, hopeful pieces that unfold gently, like dawn spreading across a darkened sky. Now based in North Carolina, Stahr continues to write music that invites listeners inward - toward breath, balance, and the return of light.
