Prithvi Prakash

I was born in Texas and raised in Bangalore, India and my whole life as an artist has been about bridging worlds that don't usually touch. That started early. At five, I was put into Carnatic music training, the way a lot of Indian kids are - more obligation than choice. I resisted it for years. But somewhere along the way, without me noticing, it became the foundation everything else stands on. It's still the deepest well I draw from. I started songwriting at 10, mostly to avoid homework but it didn't stay a hobby for long. Music became the place I went to process things I didn't have words for otherwise a way to make sense of a world that often didn't make sense, and sometimes, a way to disappear from it entirely. At 17, I got my hands on Logic Pro with zero idea what I was doing, and taught myself production purely through trial and error. The whole process of music production felt like play to me and I was a kid in a candy store. I’ve also always been deeply passionate about language and poetry so at 19 I merged all my different worlds - poetry, singing, songwriting and production and began building my sound as an artist. It's been a wild journey, full of highs that felt earned and lows that felt endless but the music has always kept me curious and willing to push beyond what I thought was possible!
