Crafty 893

South London’s Crafty 893 is a two-time BAFTA-winning producer, MC and creative whose work sits at the forefront of modern grime. Since releasing his debut 'Induction EP' on Tru Thoughts, his work has been championed by BBC 1Xtra, BBC 6 Music, Rinse FM, GRM Daily, Mixtape Madness, Complex UK and DJ Mag, who recently described him as “a shining star of grime 3.0.” Equally at home behind the boards and on the mic, Crafty’s releases, including 'Smart Dumb', 'Weapon X' and 'Boot It', showcase his ability to write, produce, mix and creatively direct his own vision. As a producer, Crafty has soundtracked Big Zuu’s Breakfast Show and the BAFTA-winning Big Zuu’s Big Eats, contributed to Big Zuu’s debut album Navigate, and executive produced Signed & Delivered by Big Zuu & Capo Lee. His credits also span campaigns for Adidas x Jacamo and Pret A Manger, alongside collaborations with artists including Manga Saint Hilare, Miraa May and Blaze YL. With grime at the centre of everything he does, Crafty 893 continues to carve out a lane entirely his own, while building a reputation as one of the UK underground’s most exciting emerging voices.
