Carrie Ryan

Carrie Ryan is a singer-songwriter from Cleveland, Ohio. She began her music career as a teenager, posting acoustic covers on Youtube. In 2011, Carrie released her first album, This Road. The album was written, recorded and produced in her childhood bedroom. The album introduced Carrie to the local music scene. In 2014, Carrie headlined her first-ever show at The Grog Shop. 2014 was also the year that her song “The Great Escape” was featured on the Lifetime show Little Women: LA. Carrie took a long break from music to figure out her adult life. She explored other creative endeavors like dance and writing, and continued to play music privately for her own enjoyment. In 2021, her sister was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. The shocking diagnosis was a reminder of how short life is, and to fill it with as much joy as possible. In February 2024, she returned to music by re-releasing her song “This Year.” Throughout the year, Carrie continued to release new recordings of old songs. The project honored her past self by investing professional expertise into the songs she wrote as a young musician. Carrie's new music reflects on love and growing up. She is influenced by artists like Halsey, Noah Gundersen, Matt Maeson and Phoebe Bridgers.
